The Government Arts College, Bayad, established in 2011, stands as a testament
to the visionary educational policies of the Department of Education, Government of Gujarat. Located in the
heart of the Aravalli District, the college was founded with the primary aim of providing accessible and quality
higher education to students from educationally disadvantaged regions. Over the years, the institution has grown

In recognition of its consistent efforts toward academic excellence, the college was awarded a prestigious 3-Star rating
in the GSIRF (Gujarat State Institutional Ranking Framework) for the academic year 2021–2022 and 2- Star rating for the
academic year 2023-24. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) awarded B Grade with 2.44 CGPA on 20-02-2025
valid for five years.
The Aravalli District, where the college is situated, is predominantly rural and characterized by limited access to higher
