The Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDG) Cell is a dedicated body established in Educational Institutions to support and empower students from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds. The cell of the Institution aims to create more inclusive educational environment by providing guidance and support systems that help students overcome the challenges they may face in academic and social settings. The SEDG Cell thus identifies eligible students based on socio-economic indicators and then offers programmes that range from mentorship to academic counselling and Skill Development workshops that helps address specific needs.
